Sun Prairie has industrial land available for immediate development in the Sun Prairie Business Park, located in the northeast area of the city. In addition, there are various building lease options within the Sun Prairie Business Park and Park 151 Industrial Park, located in the southeast area of the city.

For commercial and multi-family development, Sun Prairie offers a variety of infill sites along established commercial corridors, as well as larger greenfield opportunities near the city’s growth areas.

The Sun Prairie Business Park is zoned suburban industrial and is positioned for continued industrial growth. The City also has a development agreement with Yahara Materials for site development of approximately 65 acres, including preparation of pad-ready sites.

Sun Prairie’s development review process is designed to be efficient and predictable. Many projects within the Business Park can be approved at the staff level. For projects that require Plan Commission review, the timeline from complete submittal to approval is typically approximately six weeks.
