Old Country Church

A local Downtown Sun Prairie boutique shop owner approached the City’s Economic Development staff with a vision of revitalizing an 1867 unkept and abandoned Methodist Church. The property received public investment for rehabilitation, specifically for the eradication of bats in the bell tower, purchase of new windows, and the upgrading of utilities and infrastructure in the building. In addition, the project received grant funding through WEDC’s Community Development Investment Grant. The Old Country Church is now home to two businesses: Faded Roots Boutique is upstairs, and The Roots Cellar market is on the lower level.
